About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at LabCorp. As a key member of our Histology department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely test results, and leading a team of laboratory personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor daily workflow, schedule adequate assay coverage, and ensure all equipment is properly maintained through Quality Control.
  • Process Improvement: Engage in continuous process and service level improvements, evaluating new process improvements and making recommendations as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work is in accordance with state and Federal regulations, and administer and manage policies and procedures.
  • Administrative Duties: Process and maintain payroll and personnel files, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science and meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
  • Certifications: Histology and/or ASCP certifications are required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Histotechnologist/Histotechnician, with previous supervisor/leadership experience highly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulations, proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office, and strong communication and organizational skills.
