About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our team at Intuit. As an AI Native Architect, you'll play a crucial role in fostering a culture that prioritizes innovators, risk-takers, and imaginative thinkers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create exceptional customer experiences through Front End solutions.
  • Translate customer insights into mockups, wireframes, and proof-of-concept code.
  • Lead a small team to solve complex programming and design issues.
  • Contribute to project design and architecture, and execute on web, mobile, and front end software development.
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to the team by analyzing, evaluating, and prioritizing technical issues/features.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance software applications with AI technology.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience developing web, software, or mobile applications.
  • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience in the Software design/architecture process and the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST or SOAP.
  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Expertise with unit testing and Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • Familiar with the development challenges inherent with highly scalable and available web applications.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and innovating large-scale, consumer-facing web or mobile applications.
  • Experience with open-source technologies (if no practical work experience with Big Data, or cutting-edge front-end technology).
  • Proficient in building functional AI models using techniques such as prompting and AutoML.
  • Skilled in monitoring the performance of models in production and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Possesses an in-depth understanding of AI integration and can lead the integration process effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and software engineers.
