The Heart Institute at Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic board-certified Interventional Cardiologist to serve as the Director of Interventional Cardiology and Co-Director of the Valve Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Interventional Cardiology program and develop strategies for growth and excellence
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, radiology, and anesthesiology
  • Establish new service lines and integrate emerging technologies
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives and promote patient safety
  • Teach and mentor junior faculty and fellows
Requirements:
  • U.S. licensed physician, board-certified or board-eligible in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology
  • Proven leadership abilities and a strong track record in mentoring and developing junior faculty and fellows
  • Experience in collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong background in teaching and promoting research
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Seven or more years of post-fellowship experience
  • Significant role in clinical trials and/or translational research
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements in interventional cardiology
  • Active involvement and leadership in national or international cardiology societies
