We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Senior Veterinarian to join our mobile hospice care team in San Mateo. As an Associate Veterinarian with Lap of Love, you will have the opportunity to provide peaceful end-of-life care to pets in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Summary

This role offers a unique blend of autonomy, compassion, and purpose. You will work closely with pet families, providing emotional support and medical care to ensure a peaceful and dignified passing for their beloved pets. With an average of 2-4 appointments daily, you will have time to provide unrushed, individualized attention to each family, making a profound impact on their lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services to pets in San Mateo
  • Collaborate with pet families to understand their needs and preferences
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans for each patient
  • Ensure seamless communication with clients and other healthcare professionals as needed
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree
  • A valid U.S. driver's license
  • Availability to work some weekends
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance
