Job Description:

We are looking for a Caregiver Assistant with a strong commitment to providing personalized support to our elderly residents. As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with licensed nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that cater to the unique needs of each participant.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting participants with all aspects of personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to residents, promoting their physical and mental well-being
  • Assisting with meal preparation and serving, ensuring the dietary needs and restrictions of each participant are met
  • Reporting any medical complaints or changes in a resident's condition to the primary nurse
  • Serving as an escort for medical appointments and other activities as needed

You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment, restocking supplies, and performing other duties as required.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • HHA certification or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience working with the geriatric population
  • The ability to relate well to elders and anticipate their needs
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Frequent local travel is required
