Ironwood Physicians PC is a prominent multi-site, multi-disciplinary healthcare organization situated throughout the metro-Phoenix area, encompassing the East Valley, Scottsdale, and West Valley. We operate five comprehensive cancer centers that support over 40 medical oncologists and 11 radiation oncologists. Our Women's Centers feature 10 breast surgeons and a gynecologic oncologist. Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) for our Gilbert and Chandler locations. Experience in oncology or a related field is preferred. The NP will foster a collaborative working relationship with the supervising physician and will focus on providing patient care in both office and hospital settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
  • Educate and counsel patients on health behaviors, self-care techniques, and treatment alternatives.
  • In collaboration with the physician, manage and monitor chronic illnesses, hematologic conditions, and chemotherapy side effects.
  • Gather medical histories and perform physical assessments.
  • Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., lab work, x-rays, EKGs) under the supervision of the collaborating physician.
  • Prescribe medications as needed.
  • Recommend physical therapy and other rehabilitation services.
  • Provide survivorship guidance for patients.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Desire to work in a clinical office environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting and collaborate with physicians to ensure timely patient care.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Capacity to learn quickly and assimilate a substantial amount of information.
  • Proficient in using office equipment and computer systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Registered Nurse Practitioner licensed in the State of Arizona.
  • A minimum of 3 years of licensed NP experience or 5 years of RN experience in Oncology Infusion.
  • ACLS/BLS certification.
