We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Tech PRN to join our team at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak. As a Patient Care Tech, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
ResponsibilitiesThe Patient Care Tech will be responsible for performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. This will include:
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
- Assisting with mobility and transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment
- Collecting and processing patient specimens for diagnostic testing
- Assisting with patient education and discharge planning
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
