Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutritionist to join our team at the Georgia Department of Public Health. As a Nutritionist, you will play a critical role in promoting health and well-being in our communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess nutritional needs and develop dietary-care plans for clients
  • Provide nutritional counseling and education to individuals and groups
  • Consult with healthcare professionals to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions
  • Develop policies and programs to promote healthy eating habits and disease prevention
  • Collaborate with other health professionals to achieve health promotion and disease control goals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, or a related field
  • Verification statement of completion of a didactic program in dietetics
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a nutritionist providing education to groups and individuals
  • Bi-lingual Spanish/English language skills preferred
