Job Overview

Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide support and companionship for our special needs daughter, who is 15 years old. She requires assistance due to her wheelchair-bound condition and non-verbal communication. Training will be provided to meet her specific needs.

Work Schedule
The ideal candidate will be available on Mondays and Fridays from approximately 3:45 PM to 6:00 PM, with the possibility of additional hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays if available. Flexibility in scheduling is appreciated, and we are open to hiring multiple caregivers to find the right fit. There may be occasional opportunities for later evenings and weekends, although these instances are rare.

Additional Opportunities
There is potential for increased hours during school breaks when Knox County Schools are not in session.

Key Responsibilities
The caregiver will need to:
1. Lift up to 60 pounds.
2. Be friendly and accommodating towards pets, as we have dogs and cats.
3. Build a friendship and provide companionship to our daughter, who is energetic and requires patience and adaptability.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
1. A reliable means of transportation.
2. A mobile phone for communication purposes.
3. The ability to lift 60 pounds.

Preferred Skills
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are considered advantageous:
1. CPR and First Aid certification.
2. Experience in special education settings.
