As an Accounting Specialist (Payroll and Accounts Receivable), you will have the opportunity to enhance your accounting expertise and advance your career.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will assist with various accounting functions, focusing primarily on payroll and accounts receivable, under the guidance of our Accounting Supervisor.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the payroll process, which involves verifying timesheets for accuracy and importing them into our payroll system, as well as executing bi-weekly payroll runs.
  • Updating payroll information, including pay adjustments and withholding modifications.
  • Handling payroll deductions for taxes and benefits.
  • Generating daily invoices from our SAP system for products that have been shipped but not yet billed.
  • Executing complex accounts receivable tasks, such as creating credit memos and addressing short payment deductions.
  • Conducting follow-ups for accounts receivable collections.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • A strong desire to develop your skills within an accounting environment, leveraging your foundational accounting knowledge.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies in payroll, timesheets, and invoices while adhering to established procedures.
  • A self-motivated and resourceful individual who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including experience with complex formulas, multi-tab spreadsheets, pivot tables, and v-lookups.
  • Willingness to work fully in-office with flexible start times.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following experiences are advantageous:

  • Familiarity with SAP Business One ERP software.
  • Experience with Paylocity or similar payroll processing systems.
  • Background in the manufacturing or retail sectors.
Compensation and Benefits

Your compensation will range from $27 to $29 per hour, with opportunities for overtime and performance bonuses. We prioritize work-life balance and anticipate limited overtime.
