Rehab Specialist Job Description

Advanced Behavioral Health Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Rehab Specialist to join our team in Greenbelt, MD.

Job Summary

The Rehab Specialist will provide supervision and training to therapeutic mentors, assign caseloads, and coordinate activities to ensure effective services to individuals and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision and training to therapeutic mentors
  • Assign caseloads and related duties, coordinate activities of staff in providing services to individuals and families
  • Facilitate ongoing clinical collaboration with site directors, clinical supervisors, and prescribers to ensure continuum of care for mutual clients
  • Facilitate monthly team meetings and group supervision with therapeutic mentors
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, including safe and effective staff workflows, efficient and timely assignment of cases, referral tracking, and acquiring timely authorizations
  • Develop a proficient knowledge of Medicaid rules and ABH billing and compensation
  • Meet with the Program Director weekly to discuss progress and advise on program efficacy, management, and improvement
  • Participate in the monthly site director meeting
  • Oversee, train, develop, and retain assigned staff, including performance management and fiscal responsibility of assigned site budget
  • Serve as an EMR super user and respond to communication from clients, families, referral sources, and ABH staff within 24 hours
  • Identify, build, and maintain relationships with community partners to increase new business and referrals
  • Comply with CARF/COMAR/HIPPA/State compliance regulations and ensure staff compliance with EMR and documentation standards
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or similar degree
  • Licensed in the State of Maryland as LMSW, LGPC, LCPC, LCSW-C, or CPRP
  • Three years of experience in social work/counseling-related field and at least three years of progressive management and supervisory experience in a healthcare or medical setting
  • Excellent working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and COMAR standards
  • Proficient in MS Office with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to lead, manage, and delegate at multiple staff levels, work independently and in collaboration with management, and be proactive in a fast-paced environment
