Overview
Veterans Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Specialist to join our team at Independence Hall. As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing client-centered care and recovery-oriented treatment to individuals struggling with substance abuse.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with patients and treatment teams to develop substance abuse treatment goals and interventions, based on client's substance abuse/mental health history and current needs.
- Provide support, resources, education, and internal and external referrals for services.
- Oversee client activities to ensure compliance with program activities and agency policies, providing guidance as needed.
- Facilitate psychoeducational client groups and group activities.
- Provide crisis intervention and follow specific procedures in emergency situations.
- Attend and participate in all meetings and maintain audit-ready patient records and program-specific forms in a timely manner, as required.
- Complete individually assigned program-specific duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Associates degree, LADCII, or LADC Assistant highly preferred.
- 2+ Years experience or education in substance abuse treatment and mental health disorders required.
- Yoga instruction, art therapy, or meditation training is strongly preferred.
- MAP, Narcan, or CPI training and certifications are strongly preferred.
- Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/Background records check.
- Must be willing to submit to and successfully pass a drug test.
- Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
What We Offer
Competitive hourly rate starting at $20.00 an hour, with shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts and weekends.
