Nurse (Obstetrics and Gynecology)

We are seeking a skilled Nurse (Obstetrics and Gynecology) to join our team at the Indian Health Service. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care to obstetrical patients, administering critical medications, performing cervical checks, and interpreting fetal monitor strips.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients.
- Administer critical medications and perform cervical checks for dilation, effacement, station, presenting part, position, and status of membranes.
- Operate fetal monitors, interpret fetal monitor strips, and provide neonatal monitoring.
- Provide nursing care to newborn infants during recovery and post-recovery.
- A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program.
- Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- One full year of professional nursing experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 grade level.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments in emergency situations. The selected candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
