Job Title: Orthopedic Technician

Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking a skilled Orthopedic Technician to join our team. As an Orthopedic Technician, you will assist professional staff in administering healthcare and support needs of patients and families in a hospital/urgent care/clinic setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist professional staff in administering healthcare and support needs of patients and families.
  • Perform delegated activities as outlined in the Unlicensed Assistive Personnel and Orthopedic Competency Guidelines.
  • Develop goals to advance clinical practice and professional growth.
  • Identify patient/family learning needs, readiness to learn, and utilize appropriate teaching strategies.
  • Understand the roles within the multidisciplinary team providing family-centered patient care.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Professional experience in a related field may substitute for a Bachelor degree requirement.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR certification.
  • Registered Orthopedic Technologist preferred.
Work Environment:
  • Exposure to blood/body fluid: Regular/Frequent.
  • Exposure to cold/heat: Occasional.
  • Exposure to dampness: Frequent.
  • Exposure to infectious diseases: Frequent.
