About the Role

Palm Beach State College is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Learning Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our educational team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality training and support to early childhood practitioners, helping them to effectively implement best practices in early childcare settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver face-to-face, hybrid, and online training programs to early childhood practitioners, focusing on best practices in early childcare settings.
  • Assist in the development of training manuals and resources to support training design and delivery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop, design, and quality-assure course content.
  • Monitor instructional delivery and learner assessments, making adjustments as needed to ensure delivered skills meet learner needs and desired performance outcomes.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform planning and programming activities, including field surveys, interviews, and records research.
  • Support the Institute's Micro-Credentialing Program and utilize effective online educational tools for instruction, coaching, and meetings.
  • Interact with students in a professional and ethical manner, maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, with at least 9 credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
  • Two years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional and similar applications, as well as Blackboard, Canvas, Camtasia, Zoom, TEAMS, Articulate 360, and Adobe products.
  • Skills in attention to detail, time and task management, fact-finding, analysis, problem-solving, customer service, and promoting cooperative behavior and team efforts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness.
  • Ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a lead worker or indirect supervisor.
  • Bilingual ability.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Regular physical attendance required.
  • Valid Florida driver's license.

This is a grant-funded position, and continued employment is contingent upon grant funding. The minimum base pay for this position starts at $46,721.00 annually, and the offer may vary based on the candidate's education and experience.
