Job Description

Giant Food is seeking a dedicated Asset Protection Associate to join our team. As a key member of our asset protection team, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving internal and external theft incidents, maintaining store security, and ensuring a safe shopping environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detect and Resolve Theft Incidents: Identify and investigate instances of theft, including internal and external theft, and work with store management to resolve these issues.
  • Store Security and Safety: Maintain awareness of high-risk areas and take proactive steps to reduce/control merchandise losses.
  • Asset Protection and Loss Prevention: Implement and communicate company policies and procedures related to safety and security training programs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with store management and other asset protection associates to ensure a secure and safe shopping environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Drivers License and Transportation: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary for travel between stores and districts.
  • Related Experience: Up to one year of related experience in asset protection, security, or a related field is preferred.
  • Criminal Laws Knowledge: Knowledge of criminal laws applicable to various state and local jurisdictions is essential.
  • Confidentiality: The ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all investigation-related information is required.
  • Basic Skills in MS Office: Basic skills in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, are necessary for data entry and reporting.
