Director of Rooms Operation Job Description

The Langham Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Director of Rooms Operation to lead our rooms division team. This role involves managing the overall performance of the Front Office, Guest Services, Club Lounge, and Housekeeping departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate Rooms Division managers in daily supervision, including staffing, training, disciplines, scheduling, visual monitoring, performance, and adherence to service and productivity standards.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and associates through verbal and written communication.
  • Evaluate and resolve guest complaints and correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing on yield management strategies to maximize overall revenues.
  • Coordinate with the reservations interface with the Front office to ensure proper supply of inventories, forecasting, and scheduling.
  • Organize department meetings to develop, direct, and maintain consistent service levels within the Rooms Division.
  • Maintain professional working relationships and promote open lines of communication with managers, employees, and other departments.
  • Conduct walk-throughs of public areas and guestrooms to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Hotel Operations at a Five-Star Hotel.
  • College degree in Hotel Administration or a related area.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
