Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team. As a critical member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with a wide range of physical and behavioral problems, including those with life-threatening conditions.
- Assess and care for patients undergoing operative/invasive procedures, including those requiring special precautions such as isolation.
- Insert and maintain peripheral lines, including central lines for administration of intravenous fluid.
- Perform phlebotomy and bedside testing, as well as initiate patient education, as prescribed by the physician during discharge.
- Display and promote professionalism and excellent customer service during interactions with patients and their families/caregivers.
- May be required to work with COVID-19-positive patients and Patients Under Investigation (PUI), for COVID 19.
- Must have at least 3 years current experience in an emergency department or major trauma center emergency room with no more than a six-month gap working in that setting.
- Must be a graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency.
- Must have an unrestricted registered nurse license from any state (United States).
- Preferred to have the Certification of Emergency Nursing (CEN) through the Board of Certifications for Emergency Nurses (BCEN). Nurses with Acute/Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) certifications through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Certification Corporation (AACN) with ED experience will also be considered.
