Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Specialist to join our team at GXO. As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, employees, and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol all areas of the facilities by foot and vehicle to detect and prevent potential security threats
- Monitor security cameras and conduct daily physical hazard inspections to identify and mitigate risks
- Defuse disturbances and escort individuals from the property as necessary to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Conduct initial investigation reports and gather evidence as directed by security leadership to ensure thorough and accurate incident reporting
- Walk through and around the exterior of the facilities conducting safety hazard and security audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities
- Complete incident reports related to security in collaboration with security leadership to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
- Knowledge and experience with security systems, including CCTV and access control
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, to ensure 24/7 security coverage
- 1 year of security or loss prevention experience, with a strong understanding of security protocols and procedures
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clear and concise information to various stakeholders
- The self-motivation to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time, with the ability to tolerate weather elements, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind
