About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at GNS North America, Inc. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, setting up, modifying, and optimizing manufacturing processes at our assigned facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and understand key manufacturing processes from a production, quality, and automation perspective.
  • Identify and prioritize manufacturing problems and continuous improvement opportunities in the manufacturing environment.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase plant safety, improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and enhance quality.
  • Work with the new equipment launch team on RFQ packages, procurement, supplier evaluation, design reviews, buy-off, and installation.
  • Evaluate and identify cost-saving opportunities with production processes.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance department on implementing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Conduct cycle time studies to identify bottlenecks and highlight key areas of improvement in manufacturing processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Experience working in a stamping/welding environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Heat Treat, Welding, and Assembly processes is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Black Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, or PMP certification.
  • Experience with various problem-solving techniques such as Six Sigma, 8D, etc.
  • Proven project management, planning, scheduling, and prioritizing skills to meet goals.
