Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Field Specialist to join our team at Stake Center Locating. As a Utility Service Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring public safety and preventing damage to underground utilities.

About the Job:

You will utilize your skills in mapping, navigation, and utility location techniques to identify and mark subsurface utilities. You will work independently, utilizing provided locate equipment and technology to accurately locate underground utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Map Interpretation: Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best method and sequence for locating.
  • Equipment Operation: Utilize provided locate equipment and technology to accurately locate underground utilities.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with peers, managers, and homeowners.

Requirements:

  • Age: 18 years or older.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licenses: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Mobility: Ability to walk up to 5 miles per day, 2-3 times a week.
  • Lifting: Ability to carry up to 5 pounds of electronic locating equipment for extended periods.
  • Certifications: Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
