In this role, the Regional Operations Vice President will oversee a network of branches, ensuring exceptional member experiences and driving market growth.
The individual will mentor and develop branch managers and their teams to enhance member satisfaction and promote product and service adoption while embodying the Credit Union's core values and mission.
They will actively engage with their managers, providing leadership development and supporting the growth of employees across the region.
Additionally, the Vice President will ensure that branches meet performance objectives and expand market share while maintaining operational excellence through quality assurance and standardized best practices.
Most importantly, this leader will act as the primary representative of Navigant in the communities they serve, demonstrating the highest levels of professionalism.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership and Team Development:
Guide a team to maximize productivity and efficiency. Continuously assess talent and plan for succession. Establish clear development objectives, offer coaching, identify future roles, and delegate appropriate development projects.
Commit to ongoing learning and professional development.
Collaborate with team members to ensure high engagement levels and actively foster a positive work culture aligned with Navigant's core values.
Evaluate performance and provide recommendations for promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations as necessary.Operational Excellence:
Oversee and maintain sound operations throughout the region through formal and informal assessments, including branch visits, corporate audits, and regulatory reviews.
Continuously review operational practices of branches in the region, seeking ways to maintain high service levels for our members.
Standardize best practices across all branches to improve operational efficiencies.
Strategic Planning and Market Growth:
Work alongside the Senior Leadership Team to devise strategies for market expansion, profitability, and efficiency.
Implement retail strategies focused on member growth and retention, deposit and loan growth, fee income, and market penetration within areas of oversight.
Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to staff, particularly in sales techniques.
Oversee and execute local market strategies to attract new members and promote community involvement.
Conduct regular sales meetings to optimize team performance and effectiveness.
Financial Management:
Manage expenses within the allocated budget while maintaining service level standards. Focus on cost reduction without compromising quality.
Analyze available data to evaluate regional performance and make informed decisions.
Maintain positive relationships with external vendors to resolve issues and stay updated on new product developments.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and the Patriot Act.
Oversee branch internal controls to achieve satisfactory internal and external audits.
Collaborate with other department managers to resolve compliance, legal, or member-related issues.
Community Engagement:
Actively represent Navigant Credit Union by participating in local business events, volunteering in the community, and serving on relevant boards.
Encourage and facilitate branch team involvement in community initiatives and events.
Build partnerships with local organizations to enhance the credit union's reputation and community outreach.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. A BA/BS in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience / Skills/Knowledge :
A minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in banking leadership and branch operations. A thorough understanding of loan products and deposit growth is essential.
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams to achieve service and sales objectives while maintaining a positive work environment.
Excellent verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficient in various PC applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite, core banking systems, and data analysis programs.
National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration is required.
