Sacramento Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is a 117-bed free-standing psychiatric hospital located in Sacramento, California. Our hospital has six inpatient units ranging in size from 19 to 20 beds each, with two units dedicated to general adult care and four units focused on competency restoration for individuals deemed incompetent to stand trial.

Job Description
We are seeking a Pyschiatrist to join our team, providing clinical oversight and assessing patients to diagnose or rule out mental disorders. As a key member of our treatment team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans, including prescription of psychotropic medications. Your expertise will ensure the safe and effective management of patient care, working closely with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive services. With a focus on acute stabilization and longer-term competency restoration, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.

Salary and Benefits
This full-time position comes with a competitive salary range of $250,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a benefits package that includes 1099 or employment models, ensuring flexibility and autonomy in your career path. Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need a Completion of a psychiatric residency in an ACGME approved residency program, Valid CA medical license (Psychiatrist), Board certified or board eligible, Valid DEA certificate, and 2 years' experience working full-time as a psychiatrist. Your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will enable you to build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues alike.
