Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Cardiac Stepdown RN to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac stepdown nursing and be able to work effectively in a team setting.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to cardiac stepdown patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage cardiac rhythms, including ECG interpretation and medication administration.
- Perform various procedures, such as fingerstick blood sugar monitoring and telemetry strip reading.
- Utilize Meditech charting and Pyxis for medications to ensure accurate and efficient documentation.
- At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year.
- Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred.
- Current ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certification preferred.
- Ability to float to other units and departments as needed.
