Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Manage and coordinate the activities of the HVAC service team, including assigning tasks, scheduling work, and ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Quality Control: Monitor and inspect HVAC installations and repairs to ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex HVAC problems and provide guidance and support to technicians in diagnosing and resolving issues.
- Training and Development: Train and mentor HVAC service technicians, providing guidance on proper installation techniques, equipment operation, and repair procedures.
- Client Relations: Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise and recommendations.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices in HVAC systems to ensure the team's skills and knowledge are up to date.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work orders, equipment maintenance, and service history.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for the team.
- Leadership: Provides leadership to designated teams through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication based on direction from senior management.
- Performance Management: Addresses issues of concern related to performance providing constructive and ongoing feedback and consequences if performance remains below standards.
- Experience: 3+ years HVAC installation experience
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Skills: Proven track record of effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously, exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, solid understanding of safety regulations and industry standards related to HVAC systems.
- Software: Beg/Intermediate computer skills and able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Physical Demands: Must be able to drive and operate a motorized passenger vehicle or forklift, lift/move up to 50 pounds frequently, work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work on platforms/scaffolding.
- Experience: 3-5 years' experience as a field supervisor in residential new construction or related experience
- Skills: Multi-family HVAC installation experience, completed college coursework
- Environment: Majority of time spent in a field environment (hot attics, crawl spaces, uneven terrain, construction sites and finished homes)
- Travel: Travel by vehicle to and from work locations
- Exposure: Regularly exposed to construction environments involving equipment, elevated work areas, confined spaces, noise, dust, hazardous materials and odors
