The Northwest ADHD Treatment Center is in search of a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Therapist (NPT) to enhance our clinical offerings.
Role Responsibilities
Nurse Practitioner Therapists are essential in delivering comprehensive care for individuals requiring the highest standard of ADHD treatment, which encompasses both psychotherapy and medication management. NPTs are trained to perform ADHD assessments that align with the rigorous standards set by our clinic. For patients needing solely medication management or psychotherapy, referrals can be made to other qualified professionals within our interdisciplinary team.
To ensure effective treatment, our NPTs typically conduct full-hour appointments with returning patients, allowing sufficient time to evaluate medication effects and engage in therapeutic dialogue.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for psychiatric nurse practitioners who are eager to incorporate therapeutic practices into their professional routine. The role involves regular one-on-one consultations with our Director of Behavioral Health and collaborative meetings with fellow NPTs to discuss case management strategies. Recognizing that many PMHNPs seek further training in psychotherapy, we are committed to providing comprehensive training in ADHD and therapeutic techniques prior to the commencement of employment.
Preferred candidates will have a minimum of two years of experience in assessing and managing medication for individuals with various mental health issues, including ADHD, mood disorders, and anxiety. Newly licensed practitioners with a keen interest in specializing in ADHD treatment are also encouraged to express their interest.
About Our Organization
Founded in 2014, our clinic emphasizes accurate diagnosis, behavioral therapies, and effective medication management. Our thorough assessment process involves multiple visits with behavioral health professionals before a psychiatric evaluation is conducted by the PMHNP, who then recommends medication and provides ongoing management. The expected patient load is between 8 to 14 individuals daily, with 90-minute initial assessments and 30-minute follow-up sessions.
Our collaborative approach ensures that PMHNPs receive training in CBT interventions for ADHD and have opportunities for professional development through regular consultations with experienced psychologists.

- Must possess an Oregon license and DEA certification.
- Physical presence in Oregon is required for service delivery.
