We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at OhioHealth. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms, and follow-up paperwork for each procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms, to evaluate cardiac function and structure
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and obtaining informed consent
  • Operate and maintain echocardiogram equipment, ensuring proper function and safety
  • Record and document test results, including echocardiogram images and reports
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Echocardiographer (RCE) certification required; registry eligible with certification obtained within 12 months of hire

Work Environment:

This is a variable, contingent position, working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
