CNC Machinist

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team at Teledyne FLIR LLC. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for training with senior machinists to produce complex mechanical parts, including programming, material preparation, setup, and manufacturing.

• Train with senior machinists to develop skills and expertise in CNC machining.
• Operate and maintain lathe and milling machines to produce high-quality parts.
• Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production and quality control.
• Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping, and select the appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
• Plan and execute the sequence of tasks to complete assignments efficiently.
• Check output for quality assurance and document or discard defects.
• Prepare and maintain a safe and clean workstation, and contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

• Minimum of 2 years of CNC experience or equivalent required.
• Ability to read complex drawings and process instructions.
• Strong aptitude for learning CNC programming and machining.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Experience using standard hand tools, such as allen wrenches, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, etc.
• Familiarity with computers as applicable to manufacturing.
• Possess a solid, quality-minded work ethic and strong attention to detail.
• Interface in a collaborative manner to foster effective and inspiring group dynamics.
