Job Overview

Soliant is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to support the academic success of students in the New Lenox School District.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and treatment plans.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' goals and objectives.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and staff on speech and language development strategies.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Illinois state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement (Teaching Endorsement: 154).
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting.
  • Compliance with state and federal regulations for special education.
