Your Path to Success

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing appropriate technical skills and established protocols across various settings, including the main department, emergency room, operating room, and other hospital areas.
  • Engage in all aspects of patient care in radiology, including pre- and post-procedural support.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care, ensuring safety, education, radiation protection, and an excellent customer service experience during procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, particularly within the Radiology Information System.
  • Perform the duties of a staff technologist while providing direct and indirect clinical supervision and education to students in the clinical environment.
  • Collaborate on department-related projects and teams focused on improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with supportive tasks such as patient transport, clerical functions, equipment troubleshooting, maintaining supplies, and cleaning radiographic equipment.
  • Occasionally supervise radiology students and coordinate patient flow with orderlies.
Qualifications

Education and Training

• Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.

• Preferred: 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current BLS Certification.

• Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License.

• Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
