Job Summary

Eaton's Electrical Sector Americas region is seeking a Quality Technician to join our team in the South Dallas, TX distribution center. This role is responsible for processing product returns, providing support for quality and inventory, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Unpack returned merchandise, inspect package condition, and assess paperwork for proper return procedures.
• Re-package, put-away, or scrap non-conforming material that has been dispositioned.
• Inspect returned merchandise for quality and condition to determine return category.
• Distribute returned product to their proper location, considering factors such as value, condition, type of return, and specified disposition.
• Maintain and log return data in an Excel spreadsheet for root cause analysis.
• Input return data into internal computer systems to initiate and process returns.
• Identify critical distribution issues and report them to the team lead or supervisor.
• Collaborate with customer service, inbound, and outbound departments to develop a strong understanding of their functions and support investigations and reporting of inventory discrepancies.
• Review quality and inventory discrepancies, conduct thorough investigations, and address accordingly.
• Perform quality audits for inbound and outbound operations.
• Analyze and investigate transactional data to determine root causes and report investigation results to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in a distribution, warehouse, and/or other handling environment.
• Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds without assistance.
• No documented performance or attendance coachings in the previous 6 months.
• Continuous standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal.
• Focused and attention to detail while performing tasks.
• Basic computer skills, including personal computers, printers, and email.
• Knowledgeable in SAP.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in distribution, warehouse, and/or other handling environment.
• Previous forklift and/or order picker equipment operation experience.
• Ability to work specific shift hours and have flexibility to work overtime based on customer demand.
• WMS, Vista, Q-pulse, and Microsoft Office experience.
• Eaton product knowledge.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision.
• Actively support team concepts and effectively communicate with team members.
