Nurse Practitioner

Bridgeway Community Health is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Medically Managed Withdrawal (Detox) treatment team.
About the Role:As a Registered Nurse, you will provide nursing care to individuals in a medically managed withdrawal setting, promoting health, preventing disease, and treating illness. You will operate according to the Oregon State Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct reviews of client admits and gather additional information to support client care plans.
- Review and maintain medical protocols for use by nurses and maintain a binder with protocols and desk references.
- Administer medications and perform treatments and procedures under the direction of a physician assistant or physician.
- Complete accurate and thorough medical documentation, including clients' medical charts, medication records, and pertinent observations.
- Conduct nursing assessments on all inpatient clients and report findings to the nursing supervisor or licensed physician as needed.
- Prepare and dispense or provide for the dispensing of appropriate medication or treatment.
- Update and maintain prescription records for treatment and all medical records associated with the storing and dispensing medications.
- Coordinate client appointments with physician(s) and educate clients about other disease processes and refer them as needed to other medical agencies for follow-up.
- Maintain records of nursing services, including the recording of statistics and compilation of requested reports.
- Prepare and label specimens and maintain clinic equipment and supplies.
- Requires an associate degree or higher in nursing and a current unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Oregon at the time of appointment.
- Experience working with people suffering from the disease of addiction is preferred.
