Responsibilities and Duties

As a Right at Home Physical Therapist, you'll help clients enhance their daily living skills through:

  • Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical abilities and needs.
  • Personalized Treatment Plans: Develop tailored plans to enhance mobility and strength.
  • Follow Established Care Plans: Implement and adhere to established care plans to ensure consistent and effective therapy.
  • Therapeutic Activities: Implement exercises and activities to promote recovery and independence.
  • Client Education: Teach clients and families strategies for managing conditions and enhancing function.
  • Progress Monitoring: Assess client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assessments and treatment plans.
  • Advocacy: Support clients in navigating healthcare resources.
  • Emotional Support: Encourage clients to stay motivated throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Requirements

  • Education: Doctoral or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Licensure: Valid Alabama PT license.
  • Experience: In-home physical therapy experience preferred.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Driver's License: Valid license and current automobile insurance.
  • Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check.
