Job Summary


As a Registered Nurse in our Antepartum Part Time Days SLB unit at Saint Luke's Hospital, you will provide high-quality patient care to a diverse group of patients under the supervision of a more experienced nurse. Your primary responsibility will be to match patients' needs with your competencies, ensuring that each patient receives the best possible care. You will also be responsible for completing established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide nursing care to patients assigned to your unit, ensuring that their needs are met and their comfort is maintained.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or physician.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies.

Requirements


  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • AHA ACLS certification within 60 days of hire.
  • AHA NRP certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Fetal Monitoring - L&D and Antepartum: Novice RNs must complete GNOSIS introduction to Fetal Heart Monitoring within 30 days of hire.
  • AWHONN Intermediate Heart Monitoring within 8 months of L&D Orientation.
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. – Level 2 Nursery: Must provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • AHA PALS certification within 60 days of hire.
