The Tohono O'odham Nation is seeking a highly skilled Public Transportation Specialist to join our team.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities- Safety First: Inspect vehicles daily to ensure safe operation, including tire pressure, brake and transmission levels, and operable lights.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform safety checks on vehicles, check the condition of operating parts, and arrange for repairs as needed.
- Cleanliness Matters: Maintain vehicle cleanliness by washing and cleaning as required.
- Passenger Transport: Provide safe and efficient transportation for individuals to and from designated locations.
- Assistive Services: Assist passengers as needed and transport them regardless of weather or road conditions.
- Knowledge and Skills:">
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, tribal laws, regulations, and requirements.
- Knowledge of rules of the road and road signage.
- Knowledge of the Tohono O'odham Nation's district roads and routes.
- Skill in providing superior customer service.
- Skill in driving through all traffic and weather conditions.
- Education and Certifications:">
- High School Diploma or equivalent and six months work experience as a driver.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical examination form upon recommendation of hire.
- Must obtain certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid within the first six months of hire.
