Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced educator to join our team as a Non-Credit Lecturer-Cannabis Retail Certificate Program Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing curriculum for our Cannabis Retail Certificate Program, which provides students with the fundamental skills required to work in the cannabis industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach classroom instruction and develop curriculum as needed to respond to workforce needs.
  • Use Blackboard (learning management system) for instruction.
  • Prepare syllabi, course outlines, and materials according to curriculum.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or a combination of education, training, and experience that would lead to the competencies required for successful performance of the position's essential duties.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and abilities in the cannabis industry.
  • Proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students.
  • Experience with reflective, interactive, culturally responsive pedagogical teaching techniques.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong information technology literacy skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience.
  • Cannabis-related industry recognized certification.
