Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Optometrist Assistant to join our team at Cataract & Laser Institute. As an Optometrist Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our doctors in delivering high-quality eye care services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for eye examinations by communicating the features and benefits of our preliminary testing procedures.
  • Perform all preliminary and any doctor-requested tests on all patients.
  • Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.
  • Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
  • Provide a safe, clean, organized, and inviting environment for both patients and staff.
  • Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager or team lead, and doctor(s).

Requirements:
  • Light work. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular basis from floor to waist, 5 lbs. from waist to shoulder, and 5 lbs. from shoulder to overhead.
  • Physical Activity: Standing for sustained periods of time, Stooping, Grasping, Lifting, Talking, Hearing.
