Job Title: RN - Medical Diagnostics Unit

St. Charles Health System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Diagnostics Unit team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients and families in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Summary:

The RN - Medical Diagnostics Unit is responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to patients and families in a variety of settings, including perioperative and perianesthesia care. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care and support to patients and families in a variety of settings, including perioperative and perianesthesia care.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure clear understanding of patient needs and care plans.
Requirements:
  • Current Oregon RN license.
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • 1-2 years recent ICU, IMCU, or ER experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BSN degree.
  • Department specific acute care certification.
  • 6 months of recent endoscopy experience, including pre-op/Phase I/Phase II recovery.
Work Environment:

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, and provide high-quality patient care and support.

This role requires the ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.

The work environment is a hospital setting, with frequent exposure to blood-borne pathogens and other infectious agents.

The successful candidate will be required to participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current certifications and stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and technologies.
