Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Parkhurst Dining. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with our recipes and standards.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare food according to Parkhurst recipes and enforce the "batch" cooking method to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Ensure the quality of food produced and maintain the quality and quantity of food throughout the service period, utilizing production sheets to track inventory and manage production.
  • Present food in an appealing manner, using proper pans, garnishes, and utensils as specified by recipes or management.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with other associates, such as line servers, to ensure smooth service and address any food-related concerns.
  • Complete daily production sheets to track food production and inventory.
  • Store food properly and follow HACCP guidelines to minimize waste and ensure food safety.
  • Follow cleaning schedule and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Communicate with management to inform them of products and supplies needed.
  • Adhere to uniform dress code and maintain proper personal hygiene.
  • Follow Parkhurst Gold Standards and Smile Plus hospitality imperatives to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Assist fellow team members as needed and perform other duties assigned by management.
