About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Specialist to join our team at ASRC Energy Services, LLC. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our organization.

Job Summary

The Heavy Duty Equipment Specialist is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy construction vehicles and equipment. This role may involve supervising apprentice workers engaged in vehicle and equipment repair work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect heavy vehicles and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Proficient with CAT ET/ Cummins INSITE/ Volvo Prosis and TechTool.
  • Proficient with emission after treatment, DEF dosing systems troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Prefer a minimum of 10 years of Caterpillar/ Volvo heavy equipment experience and Cummins engine experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with diesel EGR systems on class 8 trucks and off-road equipment.
  • Specific experience with hydraulic rough terrain cranes from Grove, Link-Belt, or Tadano.
  • Repair heavy construction vehicles and equipment such as bulldozers, cranes, dump trucks, front-end loaders, motor graders, tractor-trailers, vac trailers, water trucks, scrapers aerial lifts, and other heavy equipment.
  • Proficient in powertrain disassembling/assembling and failure analysis.
  • Adjust, repair, and replace engines, fuel systems, hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension, steering, and transmissions.
  • Disassemble and assemble vehicles and equipment parts using hoists, hand tools, pneumatic and electric tools, and instruments.
  • Proficient with reading and understanding electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Proficient at cutting and installation of equipment and vehicle glass.
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment, including lubrication and oil changes by maintenance schedules.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment to diagnose and ensure operating efficiency.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and the general work area.
  • Prepare and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Supervise apprentice workers engaged in heavy vehicle and equipment repair work.
Requirements
  • A minimum of five (5) years of related training and experience is required, ten (10) years is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification.

Estimated Salary Range

$65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
