If you're an exceptional full-stack/backend engineer who wants a high-impact role at a fast-moving AI startup, we'd love to chat. At Garden, you won't just grow as an engineer - you'll help plant the seeds for a better innovation ecosystem.
About The RoleAs a founding engineer, you will work on building multiple new software products from the ground up, as well as make core improvements to existing products. You will also be involved in helping to build out our engineering team. This will require curiosity for the space Garden operates in, an entrepreneurial mindset, broad and deep technical knowledge, a willingness to iterate rapidly, the ability to make difficult trade-offs, and ultimately, the desire to be held accountable for Garden products as experienced by users.
Responsibilities- Architect software products and features that provide value to users
- Implement, maintain, and improve software products and features
- Scope and lead technical projects
- Write technical documentation
- Contribute to recruiting efforts
- Ability and enthusiasm to build top quality software products in a highly demanding and fast-paced environment
- Experience with the full stack of cloud-based software development
- Experience with Typescript, React, and NodeJs
- Experience configuring scalable and secure infrastructure
- A strong understanding of the speed/quality trade-off and an ability to strike the right balance based on user and business needs
- Experience with UX/UI design
- Experience with dedicated backend languages like Golang or Rust
The expected total cash compensation for this role is $200,000 - $300,000 with additional equity and benefits.
