Job Opportunity:

Huntsman Corp is seeking a talented Chemist Intern to join our team at our HATC Location. This internship is designed for students currently enrolled in a four-year college or university, with a focus on providing a structured program that equips interns with the skills and experience needed for a successful career.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct experiments in a chemical lab setting, recording observations and drafting technical reports for internal and external audiences.
  • Learn various instrumentation, equipment, and software necessary for experimental tasks.
  • Research opportunities for improving current experimental methods and developing new ones.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate procedures and guidelines, including annual required training.
  • Collaborate with team members from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Assist other employees in achieving company goals and follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives and complete company-required training programs.
Requirements:
  • Full-time college student at the Junior or Senior level.
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited university seeking a bachelor's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Knowledge of basic principles and methods used in chemical plant manufacturing and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Able to research and analyze complex information and draw valid conclusions.
  • Able to build relationships across organizational lines.
  • Awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Ability to handle glassware and operate equipment in a laboratory setting.
