Our facilities cater to individuals in Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Care within the Midway area of St. Paul. We enhance our residential offerings with home care services, a foundation, a management company, and a vibrant campus life program that includes a fitness center, pool, theater, fine dining, pub, and various special events.
Position Summary:
The Culinary Support Specialist performs essential tasks within the Food Service Department under direct supervision. Responsibilities include working in the dish room, kitchen, and service areas as assigned.
Compensation and Work Schedule:
- Hourly Rate: $17.41
- Work schedule includes every other weekend and holiday
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures that dining areas are clean, sanitary, and properly arranged for meal service.
- Assists residents with meal selection and delivers meals as needed.
- Promptly removes soiled dishes and dining utensils.
- Cleans and sanitizes dining and food preparation areas post-meal service, resetting dining rooms as necessary.
- May operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, glasses, trays, and utensils.
- Monitors the cleanliness of preparation and service areas.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain standing for the majority of the work shift.
- Non-allergic to various foods, soaps, detergents, and cleaning agents.
- Capable of lifting a minimum of 35 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least an eighth-grade education.
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Ability to maintain customer focus and collaborate effectively with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food production, ideally within a healthcare setting.
