About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Surveyor to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. As a key member of our land development team, you will be responsible for conducting boundary surveys, analyzing data, and providing accurate computations for layout and design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Boundary Survey Analysis: Compile record data, analyze and interpret results to determine accurate property line locations.
  • Quality Control Review: Ensure reports, plans, specifications, and contract documents are accurate and complete.
  • Geospatial Computations: Provide accurate computations for layout of subdivisions, roads, and buildings.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist staff in preparation of reports, plans, and contract documents.
  • Project Coordination: Organize and coordinate work of field and office staff on complex projects.
  • Work Planning: Assist in preparation of project/task work plans.
  • Staff Supervision: Provide direction to staff to complete project objectives.
  • Work Monitoring: Monitor work efforts of assigned staff, including sub-consultants and contractors.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree preferred, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of related experience.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, TBC (Trimble Business Center), and MicroStation.
  • Surveying Knowledge: Proficient in various data techniques and coding systems.
  • Surveying Instruments: Advanced knowledge of surveying instruments, techniques, and computations.
  • Measurement Systems: Advanced understanding of angular and linear measurement systems.
  • Mathematical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of trigonometry and geometry.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related communications.
