Property Inspector

Job Description

Objective: This essential role is responsible for ensuring that our properties are prepared for guest arrivals. Daily tasks include monitoring supplies to guarantee homes are consistently stocked, ensuring properties are guest-ready, inspecting for damages post-departure, and providing timely reports on necessary repairs and maintenance.

Reports to: Property Inspector Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of properties for cleanliness and maintenance issues prior to guest arrivals and following departures.
  • Promptly address any cleanliness concerns and report critical maintenance issues to your supervisor without delay.
  • Utilize company applications to communicate effectively with the team, maintaining a sense of urgency.
  • Notify the Supervisor when items require replacement.
  • Participate in stand-up and all-staff meetings.
  • Propose improvements to enhance service and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with stockroom duties, ensuring organization and accurate inventory counts.
  • Verify that products used are appropriate and applied to the correct items.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Prior experience in hospitality or the vacation rental sector is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail; able to identify when something is amiss.
  • Proficient with smartphones and computers.
  • Possess a clean driving record.
  • Exhibit a proactive 'see it, fix it' mindset, taking initiative in minor adjustments.
  • Communicate clearly, thoroughly, and effectively.
  • Tech-savvy, capable of using mobile applications for reporting and team communication.
