Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Community Action Program for Central Arkansas. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in implementing our educational program for 3-5 year old children, promoting their intellectual and physical development, and fostering a safe and healthy learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement learning experiences that align with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, advancing the intellectual and physical development of children in their care.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment, promoting positive, trusting, and nurturing teacher-child relationships.
  • Encourage family involvement and support the development of positive family-child relationships.
  • Implement daily lesson plans, promoting developmentally, linguistically, and culturally appropriate practices.
  • Monitor and document children's growth and development, using data to individualize for every child.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent experience.
  • One year of experience teaching children ages 3-5 years.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to use data collection tools.
  • Good physical condition, able to lift children and participate in activities requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and jumping.
