Job Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Thoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. This role requires a commitment to the nursing process, ensuring continuity and excellence in patient care that aligns with the standards and objectives of the Nursing Department and Medical Centers' Administration.
Qualifications
- Active NYS RN License
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
- Minimum of 1 Year of Relevant Experience
- BLS and ACLS Certification Required; CCRN/CSC Certification Preferred
Work Environment
This position is based at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, with a focus on night shifts. The role requires significant manual dexterity and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Candidates should be prepared for exposure to various occupational hazards.
