Pharmacy Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Manage pharmacy systems, including patient and drug information, and process prescriptions.
- Develop and implement training programs for pharmacy technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records, including inventory management and customer interactions.
Customer Experience:
- Engage with customers, providing assistance and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Model and share customer service best practices, ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
- Develop strong relationships with customers, anticipating their needs and offering proactive services to enhance their experience.
Operations:
- Assist pharmacists in the delivery of patient care, including patient registration, prescription data entry, and medication preparation.
- Complete patient and physician calls, as directed by the pharmacist.
- Manage core pharmacy workflow, ensuring tasks are completed on-time and efficiently.
- Coordinate and organize pharmacy daily schedule of activities, recommending allocation of pharmacy hours as needed.
People & Performance Management:
- Lead performance management of technicians, making decisions and recommendations regarding discipline and termination.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records, including technician licensures, registrations, and certifications.
- Develop and implement training programs for technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
Training & Personal Development:
- Maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state required certification/registration.
- Enhance current knowledge and skills related to pharmacy and healthcare, obtaining necessary certifications and education credits as required.
- Seek professional development, monitoring one's own performance and soliciting constructive feedback from others.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with pharmacy team, relaying messages from the support center or other key emails as required.
- Participate in key store/pharmacy meetings, including 5-minute meetings and weekly check-ins with the Store Manager.
