Job Title: Maintenance Purchaser

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Purchaser to join our team at BlueTriton Brands. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of necessary parts and equipment to support our maintenance program across multiple manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain effective working relationships with technical and production teams across multiple sites while building relationships with key external vendors.
  • Use the SAP system to procure MRO materials and review requisitions to check against work orders and MRP for accuracy.
  • Create material masters and work with maintenance staff to set MRP levels.
  • Maintain SAP purchasing data.
  • Understand and apply proper codification to materials.
  • Understand and apply MRP concepts for stocked material.
  • Contact vendors to assure material specification, price, and sourcing information are correct.
  • Analyze material requirements for both stocked and direct purchase inventory.
  • Communicate with Factory StoreKeepers/Technical Leads to assure appropriate application and delivery of MRO purchases.
  • Process Requisitions to create purchase orders for release.
  • Review open purchase orders and follow up with vendors if necessary.
  • Work with accounts payable to resolve invoicing and pricing variances.
  • Process new material requests and maintain material masters.
  • Maintain PIR's and Source lists for materials.
  • Review, understand, and apply all required corporate policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance purchasing.
  • Experience with SAP required.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Excel and AP (accounts payable) processing.
  • Ability to read and interpret complicated technical parts manuals and catalogs.
  • Knowledgeable of best practice inventory management process.
  • Understanding of the maintenance, repair, and operating supplies.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Excellent communication skills, must communicate to both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Able to give and take direction and instructions remotely and apply in local environment.
