Required Qualifications:
Must be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of six months of clinical RN experience or have successfully completed the probationary NC I period as documented on the nursing evaluation tool. A current Registered Nurse license or valid permit to practice in Texas is mandatory. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
Job Responsibilities:
This role is designated for an Advanced Beginner Clinician.
The candidate should possess the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the nursing standards for professional practice as outlined in the Texas Nurse Practice Act, operating without supervision. The ability to recognize when assistance is needed and to seek appropriate resources is essential. The practice will be characterized by a balance of dependent and interdependent decision-making, with a focus on expanding knowledge and skills within the specialty area.
The Nurse Clinician will provide patient care through nursing-based practices in accordance with the American Nurses Association Standards of Professional Practice and Professional Performance. The role emphasizes the importance of the specialty unit, nursing, and institutional strategic initiatives, as well as the goals of the health system.
